IT'S TIME TO GRADUATE!

Wow! What a ride it has been.  We are so proud of all of you, not only for becoming such incredible teachers throughout this process, but for continuing to show up and dig deep amongst a world of uncertainty and chaos.  We are so grateful that you were the group we had during this time. You are truly OUR teachers.

During our final Sunday together, we will teach our final 25 minute flows, and leave time for a little graduation ceremony and celebration!

Moving forward, you are all invited to the Virtual Primal Flow Course, kicking off in November. This is free to YTT graduates and will provide you will a Primal Flow course certification, if you are interested in adding that to your teaching toolkit.

graduation requirements

Here are all the requirements for graduation! Please reach out to us if you have any questions! (Contact form located at the bottom of the page)

1.) completion of all contact hours

Trainees, it is your responsibility to have attended all weekends or virtual components, and review module notes.  If you have not attended the live outdoor sessions, you must complete the session test-outs on the virtual portal to prove you've covered the material.

Trainees are also required to take 3 classes per month with lead trainer (Abbe, Ona or Erin from Solshine).   If you did not attend in person or livestream classes, please fill out the form below and let us know which pre-recorded classes you have taken.

2.) 25 minute class

EVERYONE, Please complete and submit the form below.  In order to graduate, you must present a 25 minute class to live students.  This can be completed in-person during our final Sunday, or be submitted virtually. If submitting a video, the 25 minutes must be continuous and you must be teaching to students (friends, family or coworkers).  If you decide to teach a zoom class, you can send us the zoom recording link.

How to approach your 25 minute class:
You have complete freedom with this class. It can be a 25 minute mini workshop, a 25 minute excerpt from an hour class, or a condensed class (short warm up, 1 sun A & B, skip the cooldown, etc).

Why 25 minutes?
When you begin to approach studios about teaching, often they will request you to teach a 25 min rehearsal class. It is a good idea to have one ready in your back pocket!  We will give you feedback on your 25 minute class so that you feel confident and ready to take it to studio owners!

3.) submission of reports

There are our long term projects. Attached below are some examples from one of our graduates.
  1. (Research and write a report on the story behind an asana (yoga pose) of your choice. Find imagery to support it. During our mythology discussion, we acted out the stories behind some of our favorite poses.   Your homework is to pick an asana, and research its history (it may not have one, in which case, choose another).  You may have to research a few before you find one that resonates with you. Refer the handbook "Stories Behind the Asanas" for examples or the file below.
  2. Create your own yoga pose, movement or sequence inspired by your spirit animal. Write a report on it and find imagery to support it.  (similar fashion as the assignment above). During our stories behind the asanas discussion (waaaay back during week one) we also talked poses that were recently created by well-known teachers.  We invite you to follow their lead and design a pose, transition or gesture inspired by your spirit animal or just an animal or living thing that inspires you!. It can be something completely new, it can be a new twist on an old pose or transition.
